Johnny Depp had hes own personal makeup artist do his makeup for the movie. The makeup artist wanted to influence people to wear the makeup trends from the movie just not as harsh just bringing more color and blue eyeshadow in style again. The Mad Hatters clothing was inspired by back in the day when people had different chemical poisonings and not normal. The Mad Hatter was also supose to look like he had mercury poisoning. The makeup artist Patty York used purple eyeshadow on one eye and turquoise on the other eye with white eyeliner and mascara with red and pink below the eyes.
